ACTION Adoption Services Children's Program Fund

Help us expand the Friday night children's program at ACTION. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children of ACTION to meet other children who've been adopted. The program provides life lessons for kids, art and craft activities, and even snacks! Also, for parents, our children's program keeps young minds and hands occupied while parents join in support group and/or training. But we need your help to continue this great service to our kids. Recent Events

November 2007, National Adoption Month Party

Our Annual National Adoption Party was a huge success. The kids enjoyed The Amazing Shaner, Bubbles the Clown and the visit with Santa. The parents enjoyed catching up with friends, and the staff enjoyed seeing all the forever families we have helped to build. Thank you to all the families who attended!

Upcoming Trainings

Second and Third Friday of every month - training 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

July 16, 2010 - Darin Jolliffe-Haas, adoptive parent, and his son will discuss 'Preparing for Adolescence and Birth Family Reunions'. This training is a must for families with adopted children age 10 and over.

August 13, 2010 - John Seebock, LSW will discuss 'Adolescents and Independent Living Skills'. Another very important training for parents with pre-teens and teens.

August 20, 2010 - Tracey Hostetler, LPN will teach on 'Infant Care'. This will be a very informative night!

September 10, 2010 - TBD

September 17, 2010 - Janice Ricks, University of Cincinnati professor will discuss 'Domestic Violence and Its Impact on Children'.
